long as possible. Our production site is situated in the Czech Republic; therefore we achieve and offer you top quality and maximum effectiveness for the money you invest into
HAKR carriers.
History of the HAKR Company
The HAKR Company was established in 1992. It started production of bicycle roof carriers in the basement of one of the owners. In the following years the production expanded and the company started to
manufacture basic roof carriers for ŠKODA vehicles, and roof carriers fitted with cross racks. In 1995, the company moved to rented premises in Brno – Maloměřice, hired the first employee and expanded production
by introducing ski racks. In 1997, another small space in Kobylnice was rented, the number of employees rose to 10, and the first machinery was purchased. The company manufactured bicycle carriers, ski racks, roof
carriers and cross racks for most of hypermarkets.
Production of Roof Carriers
At the turn of the new millennia HAKR purchased its own production premises in Újezd u Brna and in the following years cutting-edge technologies and machinery were bought. Then the production of roof boxes was launched.
This was accompanied by hiring new workers. Now the company has about 40 employees. In 2004 the production of trailer hitch bicycle carriers and in 2007 the production of roof boxes for foreign vehicles started. At the
moment the company finishes certification of its products. Bicycle carriers, ski racks, basic roof carriers and trailer hitch bicycle carriers have TUV SUD certification used for testing of cars and their accessories.
Furthermore, roof boxes are also “crash tested”.
